About TransitFlow.ch

TransitFlow.ch shows public transport activity across Switzerland on a single live map. Trains, trams and buses are simulated from the official GTFS timetable published by opentransportdata.swiss. Aircraft over Swiss airspace are live, fetched from the OpenSky Network.

How it works

A nightly build extracts active services from the GTFS feed into a compact local snapshot.
The server interpolates each scheduled trip to its expected position for the current minute and streams it to the map.
Aircraft state vectors come straight from OpenSky's public endpoint and are refreshed every few seconds.

This is an independent visualisation, not an official transport service. Schedule positions reflect the planned timetable; real-world delays, cancellations, or detours are not shown.
